CCV completes double acquisition to kick off 2012 spending spree

More deals ‘close to completion,’ confirms CCV boss

CCV has acquired Lyon Insurance Services in Anglesey and Crown Insurance Brokers in Birmingham.

CCV has fully acquired both brokers and they will be merged with existing CCV businesses.

Crown Insurance Brokers, whose book of business is 40% commercial and 60% personal lines, will be incorporated into nearby RV Wallis.

The owner Ray Whitehouse will remain with the business as a consultant.

Lyon Insurance Services, a specialist provider of insurance packages for guest houses, holiday homes and bed and breakfast establishments is merging with existing CCV broker Alker Brothers in Wigan.

CCV chief operating officer Graham Barr said: “These are well-established brokers and both businesses have a strong book and great potential.

“Lyon Insurance Services and Crown Insurance Brokers represent the first additions to our group in 2012. We have an extremely healthy pipeline and already have further acquisitions close to completion.”
