Paul joined the Group in September 1976 as a Senior Underwriting Clerk in the Fire Section, based in Belfast. In December 1997 he transferred to Dublin and became CEO for Republic of Ireland in June 1998.

During his time in the Irish Insurance Market, Paul was President of the Irish Insurance Federation and separately President of the Insurance Institute of Ireland. He commenced his current role in July 2007 and is based in the Leadenhall Court office in London.
Married with two children, Paul's family home is in Dublin where he spends his weekends. He enjoys playing golf and watching Ireland play rugby.
During the week Paul resides in London.

In a career that has spanned four decades, Dennis started out at Price Forbes in 1969. Following an appointment to the Board at Sedgwick Limited in 1982, he completed the PMD course at Harvard Business School a year later before moving on to join Alexander Howden in 1984 as Chairman and CEO of UK Wholesale operations.

Two years later, he became Chairman of the Alexander Howden Group. In 1995, Denis was appointed Chairman and CEO of the group and given responsibility for Global Captive Operations.
Following the acquisition of the group in 1997 by Aon, Dennis went on to take up the position of Chairman and CEO of Aon Group Limited with responsibility for Reinsurance and Specialist Broking Operations and Global Captive Operations. Dennis went on to take up further posts as Chairman of Aon Re Global in 2002, Chairman and CEO of all Aon Operations in the UK in 2005 before being appointed as Chairman of AON Global in 2007, and moving to Bermuda.
In addition to his company responsibilities, in 1996 Dennis was elected as the first Chairman of the World Insurance Network (WIN). He has also served as a Deputy Chairman of Lloyd’s Insurance Broking Committee for many years and is a past President of the Insurance Institute of London. Dennis served as Chairman of Troika Insurance - the company established by the UK Government after the WTC event, to provide third party war and terrorism cover for passenger airlines.

Julian James joined Lockton International in September 2007. In March 2008 he was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Lockton Companies International Ltd.

Prior to that, Mr James worked for Lloyds of London as Director, Worldwide Markets. He was appointed to that role in December 2000 and was responsible for all Lloyd’s commercial activities outside the UK, including the management of its 74 trading licences and its international network. In addition he oversaw Lloyd’s global branding and market development including communications, media relations and Government affairs. Also he was member of the Executive Committee of Lloyd’s. Mr James joined Lloyd’s in December 1997 as Head of the North America Business Unit.
Mr James is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and is a Chartered Insurance Practitioner. He gained an MBA from the Cranfield School of Management in 1991 and is also a graduate of the London Business School’s Senior Executive Programme. He graduated in 2003 at the University of Oxford's Senior Executive Finance Programme.
He is a board member of the Lloyd's Community Programme and, up until January 2005, was a board member of the General Insurance Standards Council. Also, he is Vice President of the Chartered Insurance Institute in the UK, a member of the CII Council and a Vice President of the London Insurance Institute.
Mr James is married with two children and lives in West London.

James left University in 2003 and travelled across Europe and North America before settling into a career. He joined Bristol based Brokers, Hays Parsons in 2004 as an Account Handler and following annual promotions, he is now a Director.

In late 2009 he was offered the role of Operations Director, and now awaits FSA clearance before taking this role formally.
His proudest achievement whilst working for Hayes Parsons has been to convert an education department that had largely lost its direction and client base to one of the leading independent education brokers in the country, and the most profitable cost centre within the business, within my five years.

Mark is the Executive Director of Unitas which is an alliance of 11 independent insurance brokers handling in excess of £900m in premiums and over 1,000 staff.

Mark is an experienced insurance and reinsurance leader having held several senior positions which included being a Global Commercial Director at RSA. Mark is also one of the founding partners of the Bermudian start up Endurance Specialty Holdings Ltd. (ESHL) and also held senior positions at Aon.
