David started his career as an insurance broker at Alexander Howden in 1980 and has over 25 years' experience in Lloyd's and the London and overseas markets. Since he founded the Group in 1994, he has been the driving force behind its expansion.

Hyperion is not just a broker or an underwriter but an international insurance group. Through our different firms we cover wholesale and retail broking, reinsurance broking and underwriting. We have businesses across Asia, Australia, Europe, North and South America.

Hyperion Insurance Group was founded to help drive each of our specialist businesses forward, to nurture their organic growth and to fuel their acquisitions. We believe our people are our greatest asset. We encourage entrepreneurialism, support great ideas and invest in growth activities.

When Howden was created, it employed six people in one office. Today that figure has grown to over 600 people in over 40 offices across 25 countries.
