First acquisition of 2014
Swinton has bought the personal and commercial book of Anderson Insurance Services of Ruabon, North Wales.
Commercial director Carolyn Callan said: “Swinton’s acquisition priority in 2014 is to seek out opportunities that fit with its objective of growing the Swinton commercial account and its network of commercial regional offices. We have a healthy pipeline of brokers interested in our commercial proposition.”
Swinton made 12 acquisitions last year.
Commercial lines account for about 10% of Swinton’s turnover £301m turnover and it plans to grow its commercial book to 15% of its total in the next three years.
