Biography: Chris Sims started his career in 1975 working for Fenchurch Group as a trainee claims technician. He subsequently joined Anthony Lumsden as a claims manager and then moved to Wigham Poland as a divisional director of marine and energy. Following its merger with the Sedgwick Group, he was appointed an associate director of Price Forbes marine division. Sims joined NMB in 1989 as divisional director responsible for running the claims department. He was appointed director of NMB in February 1994 and managing director in December 2000.
