Claims Partner of the Year

This category is designed to recognise claims, loss adjusting, legal and service partners that have delivered outstanding profitable, flexible and efficient support to UKGI brokers and/or insurers.

Judges were looking for partnerships that have helped brokers and/or insurers structure, provide, communicate, improve or grow their products and services over the past year. Judges wanted positive stories from crisis management, or programmes of internal change that are boosting value to insurer and/or broker partners.

Claims Consortium Group

What key achievement did your entry highlight?

First was to increase measurable performance for all clients, building strategies that influence their net claims spend. Reviewing strategic level detail to replace parts of the claims process that do not provide real client benefit with functions that provide measurable benefits. Second was to improve the third-party claims handling market, an area with high levels of litigation. Removing friction and resulting failure that exists between third parties; creating an environment for claims handlers, solicitors and Highways England to discuss claims and resolve disputes without need for continual litigation and rising costs.

Can you share data or testimonials to back up your bid to win?

"Our work with Claims Consortium has seen us develop better control of our spending and relationships across the immobile third-party property damage market. In 2018 we had a financial benefit target of £150,000 over and above 2017 figures and have achieved double that figure for 2018." Michael King, LV=, Third Party Claims Strategy Manager.

What sets your firm apart from the other shortlisted contenders?

Purely focusing on the best outcomes for our clients. We will invest heavily in ensuring our clients deal with third-party damage claims effectively. Sometimes that will mean teaching them how to deal with some claims in-house rather than appoint us and incur a fee. Some may consider this counterproductive for a private SME, but our reputation is built on doing the right thing all of the time. We view our market expansion as a result of offering the best overall service to the claims industry.

How will you celebrate if you are the victor?

There will be a group event arranged for all the staff in the third-party damage team in Northampton. Any award win isn't possible without their hard work.

QuestGates

What key achievement did your entry highlight?

Until now, there has been a huge black hole in the complex claims process. No-one has been able to accurately map out a settlement plan, measure workflow and proactively manage the life of the claim to consistently deliver reduced elapsed times and improved indemnity spend. QUBEconnex solves this by connecting all stakeholders in the complex claims process – insurers, brokers, suppliers and customers – enabling them to track progress of the claim while our adjusters focus on its proactive resolution. QUBEconnex brings together the best of human and technological expertise and is unique in the complex claims arena.

QuestGates

Can you share data or testimonials to back up your bid to win?

"Having worked with QuestGates since 2012, we've seen continuous improvement across all areas with significant investment in people and technology. QuestGates have again demonstrated their passion and determination to provide exceptional customer service, retaining the highest accolade that IIC award, Gold." Tony Barritt, MD, Investor In Customers.

What sets your firm apart from the other shortlisted contenders?

We believe that QUBEconnex has set us apart as it has enabled achievement of best in class claim lifecycle reductions alongside a reduction in average indemnity spend. This technology is unique in the higher end complex commercial area of claims where technology has always been seen as secondary to technical expertise of the loss adjuster.

How will you celebrate if you are the victor?

We'll look forward to taking the trophy on tour around our various offices across the country to celebrate the achievement with all of our team members who played an essential role in bringing QUBEconnex to life. We might have a bit more than tea and cake to toast their success.
