Hampden licensedHampden Agencies said it had received FSA authorisation to facilitate the buying and selling of NameCos at Lloyd's. Limited liability vehicles, NameCos, have been available since 1994, and all new Names have been obliged to enter as a NameCo since 2003. Fire defence fearsLack of adequate fire protection is causing in excess of half a billion pounds worth of fire damage and interruption costs to British businesses every year, revealed a study by Royal & SunAlliance. The study found that of 40,000 recorded commercial fires, less than half the premises had fire alarms, fewer than 10% had sprinkler systems and hardly any had a pre-planned recovery strategy in place.
