This year's Natural Perils Conference will hear a lot of talk about Nature's dark forces, but the proceedings will be enlivened with some natural beauty.
Guest speaker will be TV celebrity and magician's glamorous assistant, the lovely Debbie McGee.
She will give a talk entitled "The horrors of being flooded".
She will recount the struggle she and husband Paul Daniels had over rebuilding their house after flood damage.
