The ABI will be disseminating the Environment Agency's (EA) new flood risk data this week.

The EA released the data to the ABI on 29 January and the association has been evaluating the data before sending it out to members.

An ABI spokesman said it was a "full rolling set of data" illustrated with digital mapping.

"It is the most detailed information available to insurers," he said.

The data divides the country into postcode areas and looks at the percentage of risk in three different categories. These include properties protected by defences with a 1:75 year chance of being flooded, 1:75 to 1:200 and a low risk 1:200 chance of flooding.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
