Lloyd's director of regulation David Gittings will be leaving the Corporation at the end of March 2002 to become director of insurance at the Financial Services Authority (FSA).
Gittings has been Lloyd's director of regulation since 1995.
Gittings said: "It is a tremendous challenge. I am looking forward to it with some relish. There is a big job to be done."
In a statement, Lloyd's said that responsibility for the individual functions within the Lloyd's Regulatory Division would fall to the chief executive and director of finance and operations.
It added that it would be reviewing those arrangements with the FSA in light of ongoing discussions on the proposed reforms for the market's structure.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
