Insurancetimes.co.uk has launched a section that reveals new tenders daily.

Here are this week's highlights.

  • Greater Manchester Police Authority is to put its entire book of insurance contracts out to tender as its insurer has shown "little interest" in renewing cover.

It is understood the mystery insurer is Zurich Municipal.

  • The London Borough of Hammersmith & Fulham echoed the same theme. A council spokesman said that after threatening Zurich it would not renew its cover, the insurer "offered unsatisfactory renewals".

  • The Humberside Police Authority needs more than £2m in motor and liability cover. It has placed the contracts with Aon.

A spokesman said he expected to save the police authority "considerable" amounts.

  • The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
