Catlin Insurance Company (CIC) is in talks with Camberford Law to begin underwriting schemes and facilities offered by the broker.
CIC chief executive Andreas Loucaides said the insurer was in "the very early stages" of talks with Camberford Law.
Camberford Law chief executive Richard Sheikh confirmed that the broker was to have "further discussions" with CIC.
Earlier this year, Camber-ord Law merged its broker network Network Extra into the company's main business.
