The General Insurance Standards Council's (GISC) enforcement head Tony Tudor has quit.

Tudor, who joined the GISC last September, will leave in June to join the Institute of Financial Services.

He had recently been joined at the GISC by Jane Plumptre, who has worked with regulators including Lloyd's and the Securities & Futures Authority.

Plumptre will report directly to GISC chief executive Chris Woodburn, who will take over responsibility for enforcement in June.

Tudor joined the GISC from the Chartered Insurance Institute, where he was policy director.
