Swiss Re is expecting a positive outcome from the current round of contract renewals in the US, with premiums in some cases nearly doubling as a result of recent natural catastrophes.
Chief executive Jacques Aigrain said in areas particularly threatened by natural disasters, premiums might rise by as much as 100%.
