CMGL Syndicate Management Ltd (CSML) has become the managing agent of Lloyd's Syndicate 991, AE Grant & Others.
CSML has administered the run-off of the syndicate as a sub-contractor since February 2001 but has now been named as sole managing agent.
E Grant (Underwriting Agencies) Ltd (AEGUAL) was the previous managing agent.
A spokesman for CSML said: “The day-to-day managing of the syndicate has not changed. This is more a change of status.”
Jerry McArthur, managing director of CSML, said: “This novation will remove the additional costs that would be incurred if AEGUAL remained as managing agent of the syndicate.”
