Andreas Loucaides becomes group development director

Jubilee has confirmed the next stage of its strategic growth plans with the appointment of Clive Buesnel as group chief executive.

Buesnel - who will take up the role at Jubilee on 1 May 2010 - was one of the founding team of Xchanging and was managing director for the Insurance sector operations (XIS and XCS) and in 2006 formed Xchanging Broking Services (XBS). The appointment is subject to Lloyd’s and FSA approval.

Lord Marland, Jubilee group chairman said: "We are delighted that Clive is joining our management team as group chief executive. He has proven business building and operational experience, which will be crucial in achieving Jubilee's strategic aims."

Current chief exectuive Andreas Loucaides will become group development director. His remit will be to drive business development across the Jubilee Group focussing on new lines of business and capital raising.

Loucaides said: "Jubilee has reached an important milestone following the unification of our brand and the merger of our syndicates. We are now ready to move forward with a strong focus on distribution and diversification and I am very much looking forward to working with Clive to accelerate our growth."

Marland added: "Andreas has established a strong foundation from which to build the business further. In his new role he will play a critical role in the Group’s future growth plans.

"These appointments enable us to build and develop our business for the future. The board considers there are a great many opportunities available in the coming few years."
