Andreas Loucaides to drive portfolio expansion.
Specialist Lloyd’s insurer Jubilee Managing Agency has named Andreas Loucaides, former chief executive of Catlin UK, as director of underwriting.
Loucaides is expected to play a key role in the company’s growth and expansion plans by identifying underwriting opportunities in a range of new business areas. He will also have responsibility for establishing the operating infrastructure to support the planned growth and overseeing the underwriting of existing classes.
Theodore Agnew, chief executive officer of Jubilee, said: “Andreas’s appointment will play a pivotal role in consolidating our position and supporting our growth plans going forward. We have some significant business targets over the next few years to strengthen our London market presence in both new and existing areas. Loucaides said: “Jubilee continues to focus on profitable growth. We have ambitious plans, including moving into new business areas, acquiring new businesses and growing existing teams where we believe market conditions are appropriate.
“The company has achieved a solid reputation in the Lloyd’s personal lines and motor markets and I will be focused on extending this into new areas by identifying strong long-term opportunities for additional profit streams.”
In addition to his chief executive position with Catlin, Loucaides has held senior positions with PRI Group, which was acquired by Brit Insurance, and Markel Syndicate Management.
