Catlin Insurance Company Ltd (CICL) has recruited three new underwriters to its professional indemnity (PI) and directors' and officers' (D&O) teams.
Ace D&O specialist Julian Elms and Chubb PI specialist Tracy Ambrose are set to join CICL in around three months' time, while WR Berkley underwriter Rob Crocker has already taken up a position with the company.
Elms was appointed Ace European group's UK and Ireland regional D&O manager in November of last year.
Ambrose specialised in solicitor's PI while at Chubb. Crocker, who joined CICL earlier this month, left WR Berkley only eight months after it began trading.
CICL, which began trading at the beginning of 2004, focuses on specialty lines business, including PI and SME property lines.
The insurer is aiming to write £150m worth of business in its first year. CICL is headed by former PRI chief executive Andreas Loucaides.
