’Our partnership with IS2 has been instrumental in transforming the way we serve our customers,’ says director
Digital platform and distribution propositions provider IS2 has renewed its partnership with insurer Markel in the UK for a further five-year term.
Under the new deal, IS2 will provide Markel’s direct-to-customer business, Markel Direct, with ongoing support through its API-hosted, multichannel distribution offerings.
Rob Rees, direct divisional director at Markel, said: “Our partnership with IS2 has been instrumental in transforming the way we serve our customers.
“Over the past nine years, our partnership has enabled us to enhance our digital distribution capabilities significantly, ensuring we provide exceptional customer experiences across multiple channels. We’re excited to continue working together to drive further innovation and growth.”
Growth
This comes after IS2 announced in September 2024 that its revenue has improved by more than 140% over the last three years.

After securing a new deal with Markel, IS2 founder and managing director Simon Pritchard said: “We’re very proud to be playing our part in the growth and ongoing success of Markel Direct.
“The digital vision that Markel has for customer service is very impressive, as is their compelling proposition for tech-led partners, supporting a wider digital distribution model via our API.
“Collectively we have some ambitious milestones and this latest long-term extension of our partnership agreement further cements the commitment from both businesses to achieve them. Lots of exciting projects in flight.”
