Insurance Times is pleased to announce the headline results of its 2024 eTrading survey.
This is the 10th year that Insurance Times has conducted its annual eTrading survey, investigating brokers’ opinions, attitudes and satisfaction levels with the eTrading services they receive from their insurance partners and software house providers.
The most recent survey, conducted between January and March 2024, saw more than 700 brokers identify and rate the insurer extranets, insurers via platforms and software houses with which they have regularly placed business during the past 12 months.
This informs the Five Star Rating Report: eTrading 2024.
This year, brokers trading via insurer extranets have given Aviva Fast Trade and Zurich Online a maximum overall five-star rating. This is the sixth consecutive year that Aviva has been awarded an overall five-star rating by brokers nationwide.
After dropping to an overall four-star rating last year, Zurich Online bounced back to achieve a five-star rating in 2024.

Software houses
The Insurance Times eTrading survey also sought to investigate how brokers perceive the experience of the broker management system in place at their firm.
The software houses that were analysed include Acturis, Applied Systems, Open GI and SSP.
Acturis secured first place among software house platforms for the eight consecutive year, whilst Applied Systems secured second place for the eight consecutive year.

Insurer via a software house
The eTrading survey also aimed to investigate the broker journey while trading with an insurer via a software house platform.
Zurich and Aviva have each been awarded an overall five-star rating by brokers – this is the third consecutive year both insurers have secured this achievement.
