Insurance Times has today (15 October 2026) launched the 2026 edition of its Top 50 Insurers report, revealing which UK and Gibraltar regulated general insurers and Lloyd’s syndicates have succeeded in profitably growing gross written premium (GWP) over the last 12 months.
This annual report – available exclusively for Insurance Times subscribers and produced in partnership with market intelligence firm Insurance DataLab – provides the most comprehensive ranking of the biggest and best general insurers and Lloyd’s syndicates operating in the UK general insurance marketplace, listing firms by GWP size.
Company profiles within the report include organisation GWP and combined operating ratio figures, management and strategy roundups.
Insurance DataLab has additionally provided its proprietary underwriting score for each insurer too, giving further insight into firms’ performance year-on-year.
