Intermediary’s regional managing director says the consolidation of three regional brokers into a central office represents a ’major commitment to Sheffield and the local business community’
Intermediary organisation The Clear Group has moved three of its regional broking subsidiaries into a new “state-of-the-art” central office at Meadowhall Business Park, Sheffield.
The firms – IFM Insurance Brokers, ProAktive Sheffield and Peter Hoare and Company Insurance Brokers – were all purchased by The Clear Group between 2022 and 2023. Each firm previously occupied separate offices in the Sheffield area.
The Clear Group purchased these three firms as it sought to grow its presence in the north of England as part of overarching plans to “build a long-term and sustainable business”.
The broker said the new office represents a “major commitment to Sheffield and the local business community”, which will ensure “clients have access to a robust insurance capability in the area” and will enable “a broader range of insurance products and specialist services, all delivered locally”.
The firm added that Clear Risk Management, formerly known as ProAktive, will also be headquartered in the office.
Second hub
The office is intended to be a “second hub” in the south Yorkshire region, with the existing Doncaster office acting as the primary regional base.
