’This acquisition marks a significant step in our evolution and broadens our reach,’ says managing director
Shape Underwriting, the new name for Clear Group’s MGA arm, has acquired Protect Underwriting.
Protect Underwriting specialises in private client high net worth (HNW) business, but also provides cover for cargo, political violence and contactors’ equipment.
Jonathan Rouse, managing partner at Protect Underwriting, said joining Shape Underwriting would allow it to invest in and grow its underwriting team.
He added: “We are excited to join Shape Underwriting. This partnership will allow us to invest in our underwriting team, matching our growth plans and deliver ongoing improvements to our broker service with greater access to our underwriters.”
’Significant step’

After acquiring Protect Underwriting, Mandy Hunt, managing director at Shape Underwriting, said: “Protect Underwriting brings exceptional underwriting expertise and a strong track record. Its focus on quality and sustainable growth fits perfectly with our strategic direction.
