Willis, A-Plan, Price Forbes, Direct Group, Lycetts and One Call Insurance Services also receive special praise for business performance

Hyperion Insurance Group won this year’s IMAS award for growth in the Insurance Times Top 50 Brokers ranking.

The impressive outfit, led by founder David Howden, just beat RK Harrison and Gallagher, which also enjoyed a year of impressive growth.

Acquisitions and mergers specialist IMAS, Insurance Times’spartner on the Top 50 Brokers, analysed brokers’ results in detail and concluded that Hyperion led the pack with its earnings growth of 44%.

IMAS added: “The dynamism of the business means it can attract some of the best talent.”

IMAS also gave a special mention to second-placed RK Harrison for its revenue growth of 24% and earnings growth of 36%.

Gallagher received praise for making it to third place on the podium for its “pretty breathtaking” acquisition-fuelled growth.

Willis, A-Plan, Price Forbes, Direct Group, Lycetts and One Call Insurance Services are all also mentioned for their strong year of growth.
