Nine new area directors will be recruited internally

Aon is set to make a handful of redundancies following a shake-up in its UK corporate structure.

Aon Corporate currently has regional directors for the North, Central and South of England.

These will now be replaced with nine area directors.

Four staff are set to be made redundant from the current regional director roles and supporting staff.

A spokesman said Aon would look to recruit replacements from within the company. Aon Corporate brokers for mid to large companies in the UK.

He said: “The focus will be delivering local client service, while harnessing Aon's global strength and leverage.

“Area directors will join the national corporate leadership team and bring decision-making closer to the business. We are looking to appoint these roles from our wealth of internal talent. As a result, four roles will be impacted and every effort will be made to redeploy affected people within Aon.”
