Book of business in run-off; Canopius scales down KGM
Chartis is the latest insurer to withdraw from private motor by putting its book into run-off, Insurance Times reports this week.
Chartis stopped accepting renewals from brokers last month. It also has a “very small” pipeline of direct motor and household, which is being put into run-off.
Meanwhile, Canopius has closed the Chelmsford claims office of its specialist motor insurer acquisition, KGM Underwriting Agencies, making all 12 staff redundant.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
