McIntrye to join former boss at Australian firm Suncorp

Former RSA UK chief executive Bridget McIntyre is joining Patrick Snowball at Australian firm Suncorp.

Mcintyre will be reunited with former Aviva UK chief executive Snowball in September in a consultancy role lasting up to four weeks. She was marketing and underwriting director at Aviva when Snowball held the top role.

It will be her first job since she stepped down at RSA in September 2008 to spend more time with her family.

Snowball takes charge of Suncorp next month. He accepted the job in July just months after failing with a bid to buy Royal Bank of Scotland Insurance with private equity backing.

A Suncorp spokesman said: "Patrick Snowball starts as Suncorp chief executive on 1 September and his immediate priority will be to familiarise himself with the group’s business operations. Bridget McIntyre will assist in this process – her involvement is expected to take three to four weeks."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.
