NIG loses business development manager to rival

LV= Broker has hired NIG's Stuart Frost as its new Manchester branch manager, Insurance Times can reveal.

Frost, currently on gardening leave at RBS-owned NIG, will join LV in the next three months.

He replaces Roger Scholes who is joining JLT as broking director in April. Scholes joined LV as Manchester branch manager in April 2009 from Willis.

Frost, previously business development manager covering the North West and Northern Ireland, is the latest of a number of former NIG staff to join LV.

In 2009, LV= chief executive John O’Roarke told Insurance Times the insurer had taken 150 staff in three years from its directors’ former employer RBS Insurance.

LV= Broker commercial lines director Mike Crane told Insurance Times: “We are delighted to welcome Stuart to LV= broker. He is well known in Manchester and its great we have been able to replace Roger so quickly so that we can keep the growth momentum up in the area.”
