Massive Laing O'Rourke construction account won from JLT
Marsh has landed a major account with construction giant Laing O’Rourke, Insurance Times has learnt.
The Laing business, thought to be one of the largest construction accounts in the market, was picked up by Marsh's London based construction team.
The majority of the business is understood to have been won from JLT.
Specialist construction broker Kerry London is thought to have recently been retained in a consultancy role by Laing O’Rourke after a large chunk of the business it once handled was picked up directly by Quinn Insurance, currently in administration, last year.
Laing O’Rourke is the largest privately owned construction firm in the UK, with a turnover in excess of £4bn.
Marsh, Laing O'Rourke, JLT and Kerry London declined to comment. Quinn said it does not comment on matters that are commercially sensitive or of a confidential nature to clients.
