Product is AXA’s fifth addition to online marketplace

AXA’s UK commercial lines and personal intermediary division has launched a shop insurance product on the PowerPlace online marketplace.

The product, called AXA Retailers, is the insurer’s fifth addition to PowerPlace, and the company is planning to launch a further product there in the coming months.

AXA Retailers provides a combination of standard and optional covers for businesses ranging from small retailers to large independent shops and franchises.

PowerPlace chief executive Nick Giddings said: “PowerPlace is committed to ensuring that brokers have access to a wide range of products to competitively compare for their end consumer.

“This latest product ensures that we continue to provide that choice and, as our relationship with AXA continues to go from strength to strength, we look forward to announcing more additions during 2014.”

AXA head of commercial e-commerce Jason Bridgman added: “Brokers’ appetite for online trading is reaching an all-time high and continues to grow. We are committed to the development of AXA’s products on PowerPlace and strive to satisfy this demand with the addition of more products in the future.”
