Jon Walker, who replaced Amanda Blanc at the start of the year, has stamped his mark on Towergate Retail by splitting it up into three divisions.

Retail will be split between broking, specialist markets and sales/service. The divisions will be headed up by David Partington, Martin Wright and Simon Trott respectively.

The profit and loss accounts system run by each individual business will be retained.

Retail chief executive Walker hopes the restructure will make retail easier to manage and improve information sharing. Retail is gearing up to add further acquisitions by officially naming Alan McEwan as acquisitions director.

McEwan will have access to a £90m war chest established following private equity firm Advent’s £200m investment into the company.

Kim Martin will remain as divisional director and a transformation director will soon be announced with the role of spurring income generation and growth within the business.
