Lloyd's managing agency Amlin Underwriting Limited (AUL) is to merge its syndicates 902 and 1141 into syndicate 2001, subject to Lloyd's approval.
Capital providers have the opportunity to vote on the merger proposals in Extraordinary Meetings of the syndicates, to be held at Lloyd's on May 25.
AUL's board believes syndicate 2001 will achieve cost savings through economies of scale and rationalisation. AUL became managing agent of syndicates 902 and 1141 following the merger of AUL and Angerstein Underwriting.
