History: Domestic & General Insurance provides breakdown insurance for domestic electrical appliances, garden equipment and gas central heating systems.
Domestic & General underwrites policies for more than 90 appliance brands, independent electrical retailers, department stores, catalogue companies and provides telephone and web-based quoteline services. It also underwrites pet insurance.
Domestic & General Group also provides warranty services through Domestic & General Services, inbound and outbound call centres through Inkfish call centres and database, mailing house and fulfilment services through Inkfish Services.

Biography: Scrivener joined the Domestic & General Group in 1985. He became a group director in 1991 and a DGI director in 1993.
Scrivener was appointed managing director of Domestic & General Group in 1998 and chairman of DGI (formerly managing director between 1998 and July 2002), Domestic & General Services, Inkfish call centres and Inkfish Services in July 2002.
