History: RK Harrison operates as a fully independent broker providing international retail, wholesale and reinsurance broking services. The company was incorporated in 1962 and completed a management buy-out from Hiscox in March 1999. With offices in London, Bedford, Chester, Salisbury, Taunton and Bermuda, RK Harrison is strategically placed to offer both a global and local personal service.
The group comprises eight trading divisions, each staffed by experienced insurance professionals with a wealth of expertise to trade with underwriters in all major international markets.
The UK commercial division offers a range of insurance and risk management services for mid to large corporations.
The private clients and fine art division offers a specialist and personal service for high net worth individuals, farms and estates, private art collectors, museums, art galleries and auction houses worldwide.
The reinsurance division offers expertise in the placement of marine excess of loss treaty insurance and operates a number of programmes.
The property division specialises in designing and implementing bespoke property programmes for wholesale and retail clients. The division focuses on three core businesses, namely national and multinational corporate clients, bespoke facility/binding authority business and North American financial institutions.

Political risks and credit division specialises in structuring insurance products to mitigate the risks of trading with, or investing in, volatile emerging markets.
The schemes division runs a number of industry specific commercial insurance programmes and also designs and administers insurance programmes for membership organisations and associations.
