Thursday

Interesting discussions with brokers about what to expect in Monte Carlo. As always, rates are on the agenda - and it seems no one is happy about it.

Friday

Final preparations for the Rendez-Vous 2012 in Monte Carlo. I’m not sure if the team is looking forward more to an extension of summer on the Riviera or to endless drinks.

Monday

After flying out on Saturday, it’s an action-packed day covering events and parties with Global Reinsurance. And just as we thought the deal was done, we hear about rival bidders for Flagstone Re.

Tuesday

Canopius’s Inga Beale tells all on bedding down the Omega deal. But for me it’s my last week with Insurance Times and Global Reinsurance - au revoir mes collègues et mes amis.
