This is the first credit-rating for the company in its own right
AmTrust International Underwriters (AmTrust) has been assigned an "A-"(Excellent) rating from A. M. Best. This is the first credit-rating for the company in its own right.
Max Caviët, managing director at AmTrust, is confident that the rating will strengthen its position as a leading provider of extended warranty, creditor and special risks insurance throughout the UK and Europe.
"The A.M. Best rating is a very exciting development for AmTrust and demonstrates the financial strength of our company and overall group. We've been growing rapidly over the last few years and enjoyed an excellent start to 2007. The rating will help us build on these foundations.
