AA Insurance Services has appointed the Churchill Group to be sole provider of its travel insurance products.
From 1 January 2003 Churchill will provide AA-branded annual and single trip travel insurance as well as the travel element of market-leading AA Five Star European Breakdown Assistance.
The account will be handled by the group's third party travel administrator, IGIS (Inter Group Insurance
Services), and underwritten by its specialist travel insurance company Indemnity Insurance Ltd.
Managing director of AA Insurance Services, Andrew Briscoe said: "Following the tender process, we were very impressed with the high level of interest from the selected insurers.
"Though all the companies presented strong competition, Churchill was selected for their best overall proposition including pricing, service and support. With Churchill, we now aim to double our market share, increase profitability and improve customer choice through product development"

The AA Travel Insurance products will be sold and administered using a new bespoke computerised system.
