Fitch Ratings has assigned an AAA insurer financial rating and an AAA long-term issuer rating to Munich Reinsurance Company. The rating outlook is stable.
Fitch said the rating "reflects Munich Re's unrivalled global position in its sectors, exceptionally strong capital strength, and strong financial flexibility".
It added that the rating also reflects Munich Re's "satisfactory" performance of recent years.
