Accidentcare Group has won a major contract from National Car Rental to manage the claims processing activities generated by National's participation in a new insurance initiative.
National was one of two car hire firms chosen by the Association of British Insurers to provide credit hire to the insurance sector in a strategy designed to reduce the cost of claims. The other firm is Enterprise.
Accidentcare's insurer services division Lumacare will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the contract.
Roy Kent, chairman and managing director of Accidentcare, said the partnership will serve motorists by reducing pressures on premium rates. "This is a huge endorsement for the company and recognition of its efforts over the last seven years in working in the interests of insurers to keep claims costs under control," he said.
