ACE Europe has relaunched its risk management for schools web site, www.eduvia.com, with the aim of improving risk management procedures for school trips.

The site provides practical tools and advice to help teachers and Local Educational Authorities (LEAs) plan school trips.

ACE Europe e-commerce operations manager Jonathan Wells said: "(The new site's) most valuable function is to raise the profile of the whole issue of the advance management of risks, and to provide a platform for risk managers and teachers to pool their considerable experience on this issue."

The web site is available to teachers, LEAs, risk managers and parents. It also contains information for pupils to help them gain a greater understanding of the risk issues involved in school trips.

ACE Europe is a major insurer of schools' offsite activities. It insures over one million children in 3,500 schools around the UK.
