InsurE-com is set to end its partnership with Acturis for the provision of personal lines quotations, according to sources.

Under the arrangement, commenced in May 2002, brokers would be able to access both software houses' online quotations. Acturis brokers could use InsurE-com's personal lines quotes, and InsurE-com brokers would gain commercial lines quotes through Acturis.

Market sources said that InsurE-com was now set to "pull the plug" on this deal.

The future of the partnership, originally hailed as a "match made in heaven", has been the subject of much recent speculation.

InsurE-com now has its own commercial lines back office system, InsurE-tam, which sources say would remove the need for the arrangement with Acturis.

A spokeswoman for InsurE-com confirmed that the company was "in talks" with Acturis over the future of the relationship.
