Admiral has hired Universal Salvage for its vehicle salvage and disposal in the South of England for the next 12 months.
Universal Salvage said it expects to salvage or dispose of 6,000 vehicles that are deemed by Admiral to be uneconomical to repair.
Universal Salvage will also provide Admiral with ‘Vision', its management information system, which allows the insurer to track the vehicles in real time as they go through the salvaging process.
Universal's managing director Avril Palmer-Baunack said: "We are delighted to have won Admiral's business for the South of England. With our wholly-owned, nationwide site network, online and offline auction capabilities, we are able to provide a cost-effective salvage solution.”
