ConTe opens Rome offices
Admiral has announced the launch of its Italian business, trading under the name of ConTe.
The business will begin from offices based in Rome. In a statement that insurer said that initial trading volumes would be small, and that various marketing campaigns would be tested over the coming months.
Chief Executive Henry Engelhardt said: "The managers in Italy have worked extremely hard to get the approvals required, systems and staff in place to launch our third overseas operation and we congratulate them on reaching this important milestone."
Last month Admiral, which is one of the largest motor inusrers in the UK with over 1.5m policyholders, said it was on track for a record year after it reported 14 per cent growth in turnover year on year to £232m.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
