The boss of the world's biggest insurance company has warned of widespread economic disruption in
the US because of the withdrawal of terrorism cover.
AIG chairman Maurice `Hank' Greenberg said legislation was needed to stop insurers modifying their policies.
About 70% of US commercial insurance is renewed next month. The industry has warned it will withdraw terrorism cover as it can no longer calculate the risks.
