Ray Aimson has resigned as managing director of Accident Support with immediate effect.

Aimson launched the Manchester-based company five years ago. His surprise resignation follows him moving to new offices in London last November to launch a new company within the group.

Aimson, who lives in Ludlow, South Shropshire, has been spending five days a week in London. Consequently, he says he has resigned to spend more time with his family.

As an ex-broker, Aimson says he has always been sympathetic to the needs of the broking industry. With this in mind he has launched a new company - Brentwood Claims Associates (BCA) - to be based in Ludlow.

BCA will specialise in claims management and support for brokers. It will offer a flexible service that brokers can tailor to their precise needs.

The company will also offer a credit hire/repair package for non-fault claims. It says it will only use reputable companies at ABI-approved rates.
