AIUA, the largest independent farm insurance underwriter, has cut its premium finance rates to 2.9% APR for one year from April 1, 2001.
Finance director John Furlong said he hoped this would help ease the financial pressures that farmers were experiencing because of the foot-and-mouth crisis.
AIUA manages farm insurance on behalf of Royal & Sunalliance, Norwich Union and Cornhill.
