The BBC wants to make a film of Comparethemarket.com’s advertising star Meerkat Aleksandr Orlov, the Star reports.
Stars of the movie will be head meerkat Aleksandr with his sidekick Sergei and the rest of his long-suffering family from Moscow.
Production companies have been approached. It may be shown in the cinema before being put on TV. A BBC source said: “Everyone believes it’s a winner. Aleksandr may become a Hollywood idol!”
