Following the accreditation of its Underwriting Academy by the Chartered Insurance Institute, Allianz Cornhill has teamed up with the Institute of Sales and Marketing Management (ISMM) to develop a nationally-recognised sales qualification for its Business Developer sales force.
Those who complete the year-long programme will attain the Advanced Certificate in Operational Sales and Marketing.
The certificate, which has been developed by the ISMM and is accredited by the Qualifications & Curriculum Authority (QCA), will develop the employees' skills via a series of practical workshops and individual study.
The company says this will be of benefit to brokers as it will provide them with contacts who have proven knowledge, experience and professional training.
National sales manager Colin Bates commented: "We are keen to promote professionalism amongst all our staff and clearly there are benefits to having a qualified sales team.
"We are confident that by undertaking this qualification it will assist us in meeting the changing demands of our customer and the sales role, resulting in a Business Development team that can add value to our Broker partners."
