Allianz Cornhill has linked up with claims solutions provider Audatex UK and aftermarket parts supplier SEL-Imperial to produce an alternative motor parts programme.
The insurer said it expects the programme to “boost profits and productivity for Allianz Cornhill and its repair network”.
The programme, developed by Audatex and Auto3P, is built around AudaSource, which is an automated parts procurement service.
AudaSource will be used to “identify and substitute quality alternative parts from the SEL-Imperial catalogue in line with rules pre-set by Allianz Cornhill”, Allianz Cornhill said.
Audatex UK managing director Paul Tucker said: “This is probably one of the best examples that we will see of taking a standard, proven process – estimating the cost of repair – and further unlocking potential by seamlessly integrating the time-consuming process of sourcing parts”.
