Allianz Cornhill has reduced the number of solicitors on its panel from twelve to seven.

After a thorough review of general insurance litigation requirements the company has decided to sever relationships with a number of solicitors because it no longer has enough work for them. Allianz Cornhill Divisional Claims Manager, Roy Hepburn said, “To reflect a general reduction in the amount of litigation, we found that our existing panel was rather larger than we required to ensure meaningful partnerships”.

The new panel is made up of Beachcroft Wansbroughs; Barlow Lyde & Gilbert, Berrymans Lace Mawer, Metcalfes, Berryman Shacklock, ASB Law and Eldridge & Co. These firms will advise the company on litigation in the areas of motor, employers' liability, public liability and property insurances.
